Gadget: First Smartphone-Controlled, Personalized Drone (Mashable)
Flying a miniature helicopter is as simple as running your fingers over a smartphone screen.
Hex is a six-sided flying computer with smartphone integration, and it launched a Kickstartercampaign this month that's already exceeded its goal.

The copter is controlled through a smartphone using Bluetooth 4.0. Through your smartphone you can see what the drone sees, snap pictures and shoot video.
The Hex also has a camera that can be hooked up to first-person-view glasses.
The copter comes in a kit that its makers say is very basic and easy to assemble.
The Kickstarter project has far exceeded its $10,000 goal and passed $105,000 at the time of publishing, with more than 40 days left in the campaign.
Hex is expected to ship in December. Check out the video above for more on the nanocopter.
